So, welcome to College Roomies from Hell!!!
(Get familiar with our cast or check the awesome Wikipedia CRFH Cast Guide)

College Roomies from Hell!!! (or CRFH!!! for short) is the strange tale of a group of first year students, trying to live together witout strangling each other. Everybody is crazy as a fruitcake. Despite looking normal, they are not. And the world they live in is even worse. Anything could happen here, and it does. It's unpredictable, except (of course) for Murphy's Law. So if you're looking for a daily comic strip with insane, stupid, impossible adventures, silly dialogue, and nonexistant backgrounds, well, you've found it! It's not as bad as it sounds, I'd like to think.

CRFH is a serialized strip. The storylines are independent, but they are almost always linked together in a continuous way. What does that mean? If you read a strip in the middle of the storyline, you may not get it.

When I was planning CRFH I had to make my decision between gag-a-day and continuous. Both options had good and bad points, but I prefer continuous stories because they can be more interesting. I also have the tendency to take little events and make them grow into apocalypses, so continuity is necesary.

But don't worry. It'd be better if you start from the beginning, but there's no real need. For a sample of CRFH, jump to the Test Date storyline. And if you don't mind some spoilers, go straight to the Storyline Guide.

By the way. I've been told CRFH grows on people like evil mold. Give it a shot, you may like it! :)

The CRFH Storyline Guide

Here it is. A little guide to CRFH's twisted storylines. The more recent ones are WAY better drawn than the really old ones. With every storyline there's also a little synopsis and/or comments. Also, we have the Weirdometer (***** is REALLY weird, * is almost realistic). If you don't like spoilers, don't scroll down...

It all Started When... - The beginning of it all. The dorm blows up due to a gas leak... leaving everybody homeless... (*)

The Whole Freakin' Fauna - It's time to pick new roomates! Guess what, you got the weird ones. (*)

Sleeping in the Tub - Roger develops a new phobia. (*)

Cannibal - The ultimate solution for saving at lunch time... cannibalism. (**)

The Neighbors - The guys meet their bodacious neighbors. But it goes horribly wrong... (****)

Kiss the Cook - Marsha really can cook. Did I say cook? I meant KILL... (***)

Instamatic Chest Hair - Mike can make a profit of just anything. (**)

Assisted Suicide - First you start hating bugs, and then you fall out of the window TWICE. (*****)

Mr. Hand - Roger loses his pet coyote. And his mind, too, when his hand puppet goes evil. (****)

Test Osterone - Time for a test... but the hormones get in the way. (*)

Televicious - Posession is fun! Specially when you get a haunted second-hand TV. Who you gonna call? (****)

Free TV - The second part of Televicious. Mike doesn't care if it's haunted or not, he wants that TV, dammit! Of course, he chooses the most suicidal way to get it. (****)

Pet Rock - Finally, Roger gets a sidekick. But there's something weird about it... (***)

Mr. Hand Strikes Back - The evil hand puppet is back with a vengeance! This storyline was colored to celebrate CRFH's half anniversary. (****)

Fabric Eating Bugs - They're bugs. They eat your clothes. Too bad you don't have any money, either... (***)

Sub-love-me-nal - Dave tries to win the love of a girl using a subliminal t-shirt. (**)

Misery Journey - Mike, Dave and Roger get wasted and wake up in the middle of the woods. This is the most important CRFH storyline as it changed so many things on the strip, nothing was the same after it. If you want to know where the hell Mike got a tentacle, this is the place :) (*****)

Cut the Clowning - The girls discover they're living next to an evil killer clown. (****)

Revenge - Everybody gets back at everybody. Don't try this at home. This storyline is strongly related to Cut the Clowning, so I suggest you read that one first. (**)

Styling Gel Nirvana - The title says it all. (**)

Roger Gets Lucky - Roger steals Mike's world famous good luck. It's hard to be a loser... (****)

College Roomies from Heck - It's the end of the world as we know it, and I knew Cthulhu was behind it all... (*****)

Who Needs Cthulhu when you have Calculus? - Only the best will survive when all the cast faces the most fearful enemy: a big calculus test. Based on a true story. Well, most of it. (*)

We did WHAT??? - The guys make some very ugly discovery about themselves. Related to the Misery Journey storyline, but not too strongly. (**)

Average College Roomies at Bayside - Crossover with Life at Bayside and Joe Average. Lots of fun as they all end up rooming together. (***)

We're gonna do WHAT? - Nothing's gonna get in the way of fixing things. Third part of the We did WHAT??? storyline. (***)

Mushroomies from Hell - Mushrooms can make you go really crazy. An important storyline, and one of the most twisted of them all (it also has some drama on it). Read it when you have time. I liked the art on this one. (*****)

Test Date - I recommend this one if you're new to CRFH. A nice storyline almost self-contained (it makes some references to the Mushroomies from Hell storyline, tho), and a good choice if you're just starting with CRFH. Calculus strikes back, and there's only one way to escape... having a date with the calculus teacher... (*)

Damn this Mess - The guys have to face the horrible truth: they live in a trash container. But of course, they just can't clean their place the normal way. (**)

Crossover with Funny Farm - An intermission on the Damn this Mess storyline, with the Funny Farm cast. Good ol' clean psycho fun.(*)

Roger vs. the Thing - Back to the Damn this Mess storyline. Roger has to clean the kitchen. Uh-oh. Colored. It has some nice visual effects, too. But yes, it's weird.(***)

Blue Madness - Mike's little sister, Blue, drops to visit. Be afraid. She's a lot more evil than Mike, and Dave is her target. Can you say "Mind Games"? The favorite storyline of many. Colored, too.(***)

Running Gag - A little storyline that lasted only one week. April and Marsha go jogging, but Marsha has a dark secret.(***)

Zombies - The horror, the funky horror! The title is self-explanatory. And they're kidnapping people! Setup for the COTC/CRFH crossover(****)

COTC meets CRFH - Crossover with Clan of the Cats. Plenty of werecoyotes, zombies, demons, witches, werepanthers and non-ordinary cats. This one blows out the weirdometer, but we got really good feedback about it(*****)

Nightmares - More Halloween fun. Six days featuring one-shot nightmares for every one of our unlucky roomies. Three of them are guest strips.(*****)

5-2=0 - With all that monster fighting Roger forgot his glasses in Hell. Well, who can blame him? Unfortunately, he doesn't see a thing without them. So when he goes shopping for new glasses, he finds a girlfriend. There's just one little problem...(*****)

Dave's Revenge - Dave suddenly gets some luck and some money. But around Mike, just how long will his luck last? Unless... (Guest written by Robert A. Howard aka Tangent)(*)

Values - One-shot guest strip, Sunday sized. Written by A Man in Black.(**)

Aquarium - The guys visit the Aquarium and Mike finds a strange sea creature with an arm instead of a tentacle. This small storyline, guest-written by Keith Alan Morgan, is at the same time hilarious and weird.(****)

The Adversary - One of the longest CRFH storylines (22 weeks). Dave goes out in a date with Margaret, but she's got a connection with Satan that will get in the way of romance... at the same time, we get to know Roger's mom. This storyline is an emotional rollercoaster and changes too many things within the strip so it's a must.(*****)

The Devil's Avocado - A misunderstanding, Waldo and Steve, and the roomies' pets. Throw it all together and you have the Guacamole of Doom. The silly kind of weirdness that is so CRFH-ish :)(****)

Mad Science: the Fans/CRFH Crossover - Crossover with Fans! Two strips collide. This crossover is very weird but the plot is good ;):)(****)

Marshaless - Mike has to face the consequences of some things unresolved from the crossover.(*)

The F Word - The gang battles the worst nightmare in college life... with mixed results.(**)

Holidays and Holidays(too) - This storyline has a guest strip intermission. Anyway, it's about Christmas Break, and how everybody does in it.(**)

It Had to be You - Bad teams and chemistry projects don't mix. And now they're really stoned and in spandex.(*****)

Inertia - Dave vanishes from the face of Earth. Mike looks for him while dealing with his broken leg, a rampant Marsha, an incomprehensible April...(***)

Dementia - The trilogy continues the events in Inertia. We finally find out about Dave, Marsha gets commited, April's hair crisis, and Blue's intervention.(***)

Dyslexia - Dave's ordeal to get home and identity crisis. April, Mike and Marsha finally collide. Some big, important changes for the roomies here. Lots of misunderstandings and people falling out of windows.(***)

Strange but True - A weird, short fantasy sequence that I made mostly just for fun. In pencil. (*****)

Suicide Sports - Dave's downward spiral into endless depression.(*)

Simultaneousness - This storyline branches into three different storylines, all happening at the same time. Irony Chef showcases Mike and Marsha finally moving in together. Dave moves in with Margaret as well, and the result is Fnord of the Rings, a short Lord of the Rings parody/fantasy sequence, as imagined by Dave's sleep-deprived mind. Finally, Action and Reaction bounces between characters in several substorylines, including the second Fans/CRFH crossover, named "The Cruelest Month". Lots of things happening here. Some big shockers at the end of this storyline.(****)

Sticky - Mike has an unexpected ally.(**)

Quality Time - Misery Journey, Reloaded? The guys are shangaied, and Mike goes insane. Girls go to a spa.(***)

Back with a Vengeance - Continuation of Quality Time. The guys are stranded in an unusual island run by an evil overlord. The girls finally confront each other.(****)

The Face of the Enemy - The Dun-dun Island saga continues as the guys try to survive and escape. Many catastrophic things happening here and some fundamental changes going on.(***)

Party Crusher - Final chapter of the Dun-dun Island saga. Mike's Mom gets engaged to the evil overlord.(****)

Elastic - A short "school" storyline that was written as an intermission. This storyline takes place in the past (Just before "It Had to Be You", and it's also drawn in a very different style. (*****)

Solitude of the Warrior - Margaret ran off to the woods to live by herself. In the meantime, Mike, Dave and Roger have to go though many things while on a visit to Mike's house.(****)

In Absentia - The guys finally get back to campus, and everybody has to deal with the aftermath of their adventures. Also, Dave gets dry-cleaned by God.(***)

Oh NOES - Yes, everybody wants to be a member of Nobody's Organization for the Eradication of Satan.(***)

Sob Story - Followup to Oh NOES. Shenanigans, people falling out of the windows, purple livestock, and people getting stuffed in closets just because it's amusing.(**)

Spring Freak - Mike has noticed the group's relationships have deteriorated, and so, he takes everybody to a tropical paradise. Bad thing is, they're still all jerks.(**)
